Does the Wynn or Venetian have a AYCE buffet like Vegas?
Any hole in the walls that you guys would recommend?
BCRdukes, does this mean you are asian? Always thought you were white for some reason.

These commercially endorsed recommendations are usually 'safe bets' rather than really fucking good. If you have experience with the area, stick to your own suggestions because the recommendations are usually for those who have zero experience/knowledge of the place.
When I was in Macau a few years ago, we were taken around by a relative of a family friend. He took us to all the tourist areas, but that's what is expected. Porkchop bun is pretty standard (they used to have them in honolulu cafe in Richmond which tasted similar imo, not sure if they still do) and I just remember eating a lot of fish and tomato
The also had ice cream with powdered graham crackers of some sort, they called it 'mook hong' ice cream which translated to saw dust. I thought that was pretty tasty heh.

You went to all the wrong places! I'm FROM macau, and those were not authentic. You probably went to a bunch of touristy places! Too bad, Macau really does have good food. Plus, you didn't eat EGG TARTS?

Was the African Chicken place called A Lorcha? I went there before and I thought it was awesome. The clams from that place were fantastic especially dipping the bread into the broth. Quote:

I did find some good Portuguese restaurants, including Fernando's down at the very south end of Macau. I have gone there 3 times now, and each time it has been really good. Just don't go in the summer, as they don't have A/C!
I also stumbled across a pretty good macau cafe in the village of Coloane.. That is a pretty neat place to visit too, and the food was pretty good, for a decent price.
There is another we went to that had REALLY good African Chicken, but I can't remember the name unfortunately
As far as "Ah So" we actually just cooked one of her recipes last night (baked pork chops) and it was REALLY good. We've been to some of her recommended spots, and they have usually been pretty good representations of the food she is recommending. Usually we have been able to find better places ourselves, but if you haven't found a good "whatever" in HK or Macau, her suggestions are good to follow.
She definitely wouldn't have recommended Dumbo
As far as Hyde, I have met him and he's a pretty nice guy in person. I 100% believe with all my heart that he has a psychological condition, so I will never make fun of him for it. If you look past the bullshit, he is offering some good forum content here and there, so just leave him be. | |

... IMHO there's a lot more to Macau's cuisine than what was reviewed. Ah So is not a Macanese.

That's ok. We'll keep the places we go to a secret... It'll be less busy that way. We don't like overcrowded places anyways... =)
The line ups at Margaret's is CRAZY... everyone from HK is lining up. I just go and drive over to Lord Stowe's. =)
