| Question About Protein
I just bought whey protein (mutant mass) and was wondering when is a good time to drink it. I know its great in the mornings. But the thing is after my workout (Kickboxing) it takes roughly 30 mins for me to get home. would it still be efffective if i drank it 30 mins after or does it have to be immediate. As well does anyone know anything about the protein Mutant mass if it is good or not? the GNC clerk told me it was good just want to hear your thoughts and past experiences with it

Mutant mass is a gainer from PVL isnt it?
If you want post workout, you need whey isolate

Ideally you want to take a post workout shake within 30 - 45 mins after your workout. I usually just bring a shaker bottle with whey isolate and just mix water into it right before my last few sets for the day and consume. I usually always eat a meal within 30mins after finishing my workout too.
IMO Mutant Mass is crap, and its a gainer. I alternate between ON 100% Whey and Allmax AllWhey every couple of days. I've had good results in the past with Nutrabolic's Anabolic Window if you want a post workout shake with more BCAAs & carbs than a pure whey isolate.

Are you trying to put on size right now?
If you are then just stick with that crap till you finish it. Then dont go back to GNC.

I live really close to richmond like granville and south west marine drive. The thing is i work downtown robson and i work right across from GNC so its more like a convenience thing

just take it post work out (within 45 min)
in 90% of cases, i dont think you'll notice a difference in gains/performance between whey protein concentration and whey protein isolate.
just get a blend version.
if you have digestion issues with it, then isolate will be better.

OK, here is everything you need to know:
1) M.M. is a weight gainer that requires i think 4 scoops/day=1 serving. Your best bet, and best way to digest it, is take it 4 times a day. Our bodies cant digest that much protein in one sitting, so space it out. Aslo, it makes you really full, so this is another reason to space it out.
2) NEVER shop at GNC….especially for things like mutant mass. You probably over paid 30%.
3) That M.M. bag will only last you a couple of weeks, and you should start gaining weight after approx 10 days.
4) If you want just straight up protein to help repair your muscle and maybe get bigger, get normal Whey protein. If you are lactose intolerant, isolate is apparently better, and also digests better, but costs more.
5) Take it about 15-30 minutes after a work out ideally. But everyone takes protein at different times, some take it 2 times a day, in the after noon and after a workout, or after workout and at night etc.

I would just stick to going to popeyes, the local store. They price match online sometimes if you ask, get free shit, and arnt the assholes at GNC.
I have looked around, and its really only worth buying online if you are willing to buy more than 5-6 lbs tub. In that case you can get some extra percentages..

ON is super expensive now! I remember years ago when they were about 43 for a 5lber from popeyes. Now they're trying to flip them for about 70
