Hat Stretcher / Stretching Service

I've heard that this kind of service exists, but can't find much info on it besides some DIY products. I have a ~24 1/4 inch head (62cm) and fit between size 7 3/4 and 7 7/8 hats.

There's a stretch fit Seattle Mariners Batting Practice capthat I really want, but the largest it comes is size Large/XLarge, described as best fitting a 7 5/8. I tried it on and its very tight. Its a stretch fit hat made of 62% polyester and 38% wool.

Does anyone know of any hat stretching service in Vancouver?

This might be tough because of the fibres used.

Polyester won't really stretch all that much, but wool can. Unfortunately, it being only 38% may make it difficult. If it were the other way around (60/40 wool to polyester) what you can do is take a HOT shower with the cap on for a good 15-20 minutes and let it stretch over your head, then let it dry with the shape/form from the hot shower.

But don't take my advice as you're talking to a guy who can't even sew a button onto his own shirt. :D

I don't have experience with the type of hat you are talking about, but i have shrink plenty of new era fitted at least one size down by wetting that cap minus the lip and wearing it on my head till it dries. you can try sizing up a little than let it shrink over your head with sweat or water?

Sir. I believe the OP is trying to stretch the hat to become bigger as the largest size is already a tight fit. :p
