Starting Barbell Rows

So I want to start doing barbell rows. Since this puts stress on my back what are some key things to look out for when doing these? Proper technique? Did a search and didn't find anything relevant.

Keep your head up and shoulders back... That should keep your back flat. Pull from your elbows not from your hands (if that makes sense) Dont try to do too much weight at first. Get a feel for it and slowly add more weight.

this is the forum u want when doing rows
there are people that do them like close to standing up, that does nothing in your back at all maybe your traps, but they think by doing 3 plates it does something. so stick with the video, and pull to your belly button

^what? yates rows hit more traps and less rear delts and more bis. Doesn't mean they don't do anything... Btw hitting your belly button will hit more Lats. Wanna hit more traps? Go higher towards closer to your head (sternum). It's just different variations. The more experienced bodybuilder will do everything to hit all angles or will do a certain angle to train specifically for his/her goal.

Op u talking about bent over rows right I'm guessing? Remember to have a slight bend in your legs and stick your butt out. You want to almost be parallel to the ground.
