DIY Iced Capp

4 Ice Cubes
1 tablespoon of coconut milk
250 ml of milk
splash of vanilla extract
1 pack calorie free sweetener
1 teaspoon of instant coffee
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
A bit of cinnamon

Blend it... Keep blending it till its smooth. Drink and enjoy.

Cheaper and much healthier then the ones you buy at Tim Hortons and in my opinion tastes better too... lol

edit... You can also use a bit of 95% cocoa to give it a bit of a chocolaty taste..

Or you could just buy that Nescafe Iced Java shit

If you want to drink that crap go right ahead.. I bet in the long run my recipe is cheaper and by far is the healthier choice.

I seriously thought that nutrition label was a joke up until I saw it linked back to Nestle's site. That is just disgusting.

Exactly.. What I created could actually considered healthy.

Sounds tasty, I'll try it with chocolate whey.

Berzerker 04-22-2010 09:24 PM

A bit of cinnamon

is there an alternative to protein powder and how would it taste without cinnamon?

I'm not a fan of cinnamon.

Easiest Ice cap:
BUy some of the Boathouse Farms mocha protein mix
Pack in some ice and a little milk. Blend and bam

SkinnyPupp 05-01-2010 08:31 PM

Isn't it kind of weird to use coffee grinds instead of actual coffee? Maybe instant coffee would work better.. I used to make chocolate "mocha" protein shakes all the time that way

gabbergabber 05-01-2010 08:39 PM

Just made one, pretty good.

Isnt it the same thing?
I dont buy coffee beans I just buy the ground up coffee. I dont actually drink coffee by itself. Its just used to make this drink and then to deodorize my fridge.. lol

unit 05-02-2010 11:43 AM

using aspartame or sucralose doesnt make it healthy...
thats like saying diet coke is healthier than normal coke.

try making it with stevia instead

Do the beans dissolve though?

And unit I don't think there is solid evidence that artificial sweeteners are bad for you.. If you think about it, they are usually just salts (or other compounds) that taste really sweet, so you need less of them to flavour food.

bcrdukes 05-02-2010 05:38 PM

I think he meant instant coffee. That or he takes the coffee grinds and filters it out.

penner2k 05-02-2010 10:18 PM

ok I just looked and I have instant coffee

SkinnyPupp 05-03-2010 01:06 AM

OK you better edit the OP or some poor ignorant sap is going to have a really nasty DIY iced cap :lol

penner2k 05-04-2010 12:14 AM

Shows how much I know about coffee.. lol..

fliptuner 08-15-2010 03:42 PM

Bump cause I'm making it and it's bloody hot out.
