Places to play floor hockey So I'm looking for gyms/centres to play some floor hockey was wondering if people knew of anything? I tried all of the east side community centres and they're all booked our don't allow it. Anyone know of anything in Richmond or Burnaby? Maybe something built for actual hockey, like a rink with no ice(don't know what the floor would be like) |
You mean a lacrosse box? In Richmond, there South Arm, Brighouse and Steveston. |
^ lacrosse boxes have really small goals no? I guess that's not what I'm looking for...an empty rink doesn't work for floor hockey does it. The ground might be a little too hard... Is there any place that's made especially for floor hockey? With a wood floor and boards..? Gyms are where I play now, but if I could find something with a similar floor and the proper kind of boards that would be awesome. |
I think in your case, you either have to choose between wood flooring OR proper rink boards. Sure the nets are smallerat lacrosse boxes, but it seemed to work fine. Some people that actually had street hockey nets brought them too. |
Where do you currently play? are you looking for drop in? there's a league http://www.vbhl.ca/ u can check em out |
^anybody play in that vbhl? looks fun |
i have a question i never played in any league before and want to try where do i get started? |
try areanex..its on the other side of patullo(the new west side)...me and my buddies rent that place out on wednesday nights...its pretty good...nice size..nice floor and mini benches for the subs |
there is central city arena in surrey |
Hasting Park Gym let's you rent their gym. It's by the PNE. |
just go to Queen Elizabeth Park. There is a big and smaller floor/roller rinks with proper-sized nets. |
