Cops hiding spots

Hey guys, I got pulled over about a week ago on Blanshard and ticketed for driving 18 km/h on top off the speed limit.. i was going with the traffic flow at around 2 pm.

The cars in front of me were driving a little faster then I was, but they didn't get pulled over. My friends said I got pulled over because my car kindda sticks out in the traffic (black on chrome)..

Anyways, in this thread I just want to know if you guys know more spots where the cops usually hide with the speed gun.

Here are the spots where I usually see them at:

- In the middle of the highway 17 (trying to get both side of the road)

- On Douglas at the Ford Suburban Highway (At late night)

- On Blandshard (from downtown towards walmart at the light before mayfair mall),this is where I got the ticket..

I know that we shouldn't speed. But I think this would be a good heads up to avoid getting a stupid ticket like I did..

So if you know more spots, please post them..

could you be a little less descriptive with the hwy 17 location? That could be anywhere:\

in the dumpster poping his head out with a laser gun, watch out

I've noticed they're being lazy/always using the same spots as much anymore on the highway, and they're getting much more creative (hiding behind posts on the overpass etc..)

you were doing over the posted limit, not a stupid ticket, you deserved it.

stick to the posted limit and you wont get tickets.

simple.

i drive the 17 everyday to work from victoria for the last 6 years
typical places i will see cops north bound..
-in front of police/ fire station .where vernon becomes patbay
-center divider where mckenzie merges on
-quadra over pass

south bound.
-royal oak overpass , this one is sneaky and very frequent.
-center divider , after you pass the mckenzie overpass

Sometimes I see one or two hiding in the Telus parking lot at Quadra Mckenzie looking for speeders / yellow light runners.

Its victoria, you'd get a ticket going 5 km/h over the limit. Theres no crime for them to fight.

I've witnessed that first hand.

i got a ticket for doing 77 in a 50 going down on kingsway last thurs. I didnt come on here to bitch about how i got a ticket and how i shouldnt have received a ticket and how the cop was out to get me or whatever the fuck ppl bitch about these day.

I was over the limit, i got busted, i got a ticket, i went and paid it, and went on with my day.

One of the best cop hiding places is right out in the open, in a mundane unmarked vehicle! I got busted while going 100 in a 60 zone. Fortunately, he was a nice guy and let me off with a warning!

I was just on the island and there was a cop hiding on 17 where that comfort inn is.

But that would mean I would have to take responsibility for my own actions!

I don't know where you're from, but that isn't how we roll here. ;)
