Noob on House music needs recommendations

Never been a fan, but got a sudden urge to try it out. Been in a phase of trying out new genres of music, after exploring in Indie bands I'd like to try out house music but I have no idea how? Can anyone help? I don't have the slightest clue in terms of artists/djs that are good, nor do i know if each song is regular sized or 20mins long. I really have no idea. Can someone here give me a brief guide? Thanks!
