Any cheap Chinese takeout in Burnaby? Being from Richmond we always took advantage of the cheap RPM takeout (4 tins for $20 or less), are there any really cheap options like that to take advantage of? And how much would I expect to spend? |
where in Burnaby? near metrotown/down kingsway there are a million places. |
i'm in north burnaby but i would say west of royal oak would be reasonable |
Au Wing Kee on Kingsway just east of Metrotown isn't bad. perhaps give that a try. |
i was hoping for cheaper than that actually, like somewhere i could get 3 tins for under $20, i'm gonna check crystal mall tonight and report back |
i go to YOHAN!... after 7pm they have specials like cRAZY... 3 tins for like $10.. hah i usually get 6 tins.. lol... if theres that much left over.. |
^ You do realize that it's spelt "Yaohan" and that it's in Richmond, right? The OP was asking for a place in Burnaby. |
crystal was pretty unimpressive, can't believe there aren't that many options in burnaby for this sort of chinese takeout |

Both in North burnaby around hastings and Holdom Capital Hill Szecauswan(I cant spell this) $5.95 lunch specials. VERY VERY TASTEY Peking $5.95 lunch specials, might be dine in only tho...Not bad tho |
I'm a big fan of Double one on hastings 3 stores down from where the scotiabank. Sorry I dont know the cross street but it's a couple blocks away from willingdon. The lunch specials are awesome and the food is darn good. |
North Burnaby Wonton House or whatever it's called, on Hastings right down the street from the DQ and Safeway. I usually get the $7.95 dinner for one and it takes me 2-3 days to finish it. |

Keep them coming? I just moved back to burnaby last week, and I'm already feeling a bit isolated from everything. There's like no good eating places around me. I was living on victoria and kingsway for the last little while. It was like foodie paradise, 5 mins ride west and you've got hawkers, 5 mins north, and you've got the cheese hole (do the translation ;)). |
