Fast Five

Quote:
A sequel to be entitled Fast Five is to star Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, TJ Hassan, Don Omar and Tego Calderon. Chris Morgan and Justin Lin are also to return as writer and director, respectively. Reports have said it will take place after Fast and Furious and Tokyo Drift as both Walker's and Diesel's characters are still escaping from law enforcers.

On April 2009, Walker said: "I've spoken with executives at Universal at this point and they're pretty serious about it. They’re developing it. They know where they want it to take place. They want to do it in Europe."

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has signed on to Fast Five to reportedly play a lawman in pursuit of our two main characters.

On March 2010, producer Neal H. Moritz revealed in an interview that Fast Five will film this Summer in Brazil, Puerto Rico, Los Angeles and Atlanta. He also stated that the sixth installment of the series is also being developed, but both films will not be shot back-to-back.

The Release date has been scheduled for April 1, 2011 the first Friday of April two years after Fast & Furious.
