Applying for Credit Card

hey guys, right now I'm 18 and I wanted to apply for a credit card. Would I only need a cosigner to be able to get one or do I need more than that? Also, can the cosigner be anyone over the age of 19 or does it have to be one of my parents?

I'm not planning on getting one to dig myself into debt, I just need one so I can set up a monthly installment plan.

Thanks!

Can only get credit when you're 19. Can't lend to under 18.

Plus it wouldn't be co-signing, the parent will be giving you an additional card off their credit.

You can't get a credit card using your own credit until you turn 19 in British Columbia. I'm 100% confident about this.

Dipp - you must have had a parent/sibling/relative co-sign, even if you think you may not have.
