Filipino dessert: Pastillas

Anybody know where I can find them locally? I've checked Goldilocks before but no luck.

I've seen them at Jak 'en Poy in Guildford, Surrey but only once which leads me to believe at the time, it wasn't a standard merchandise.

Can anyone else point me to some places?

i think i saw them once at a store on fraser, cant remember which one , but one of the stores near king edward and fraser area.

My mom actually used to make it but she used walnuts instead of pili nut thats usually used because you cant get regular pili nut here. It was a little different but still pretty good.

Oh man. I would LOVE to know! I only ever get them when somebody comes back from the Philippines.
Pastillas de Leche is my fave.
They're so damn good!

i might actually get some cuz im going to seafood city down near seattle this weekend, its like a giant filipino super market.

edit: so i found some at seafood city at southcenter down near seattle, they wanted almost 3$ for about 12 small pieces. it seems filipino food in the states is so much more expensive although they do carry san miguel and red horse.

Try making your own, they're simple to make. All you need is milk powder, condensed milk and granulated sugar.

2 to 1 ratio for milk powder to condensed milk IE 1 cup to 1/2 condensed milk.
Sift the powder into the condensed milk gradually and stir well until its there is no more visible powder. Chill in fridge for about 20-30 min so it becomes easier to work with. Roll into desired shapes (generally little logs) and then roll into sugar. Dunzo.
