Which store for new tire

Can someone recommend good tire stores, aside from chain stores like Costco or Canadian Tire? It's for 08 CR-V - winter / all season tire.

Depends, whats your reason for asking in RS. Obviously you thought something was wrong with Costco to ask, i'm assuming.

In regards to here, you could check out other major auto repair places, big-o tires, kal tires, midas, or even check out grandview tires, they mainly sell bridgestone/firestone.

Given that you want to get it done within the day, but they are right, US is cheaper if you have some tread time to wait, its not raining yet, so you have some time.

Yeah they are legit, I bought several sets from them. Just ship them to Point Roberts (www.thelettercarrier.com).

free mounting if you buy a wheel+tire set.

funny thing is, discount tire will price match discounttiresdirect

I got my Bridgestone all seasons from Firestone in Portland last year, compared to here, I saved about 50%. Most shops give you a free alignment, I don't know if they do a good job though.. haha

Save some money. I did this and i saved a couple of hundred $$ doing this. I went to Les Schwab tires, good service too and the guys there laughed at how expensive tires are in Canada (among other items).

+1 for discount tire direct.

bought two sets of tires from them, and my friends all have bought tires from them too. Awesome prices and free shipping to Blaine/Pt.Roberts for pickup. You save so much more compared to buying locally.

i've bought 50+tires from discounttiredirect. other ones to look out for are

onlinetires.com the next best and carries WAY more brands then dtd
tires-easy.com based out of oregon so if your in the mood to check out mount rainer or something you could actually just pick them up
tirerack.com more expensive but they are reputable
citytireonline.com best guys to deal with but less selection and they don't stock as much as the big guys.

all are good choices

if your at all price sensitive then your a moron to buy tires in canada. if money is no issue then go to kal tire and pay up the ass but you don't have to do anything but enjoy their horrible complimentary coffee

because ppl are too cheap to pay a little bit more for the service , as well as the travel time that they save buying local.

Might as well buy a car and a house down in the states while they are at it
