Head Unit not responding

Car has been parked for 2 years ish in my garage, (trickle charged? forgot what you call it) but basically head unit has a motor which opens downwards to reveal the disc slot not one of those cheap push button release where it just falls down. Anyways it's stuck in the open position and won't close, there isn't any response whatsoever and it isn't lighting up.

Is it simple troubleshooting, or should I replace the head unit altogether?

It may be as simple as a blown fuse. Cn you bring it to a shop for a quick diagnostic?

Likely a fuse or a broken ribbon cable.

I'm sure any sponsor can take a quick look for you

ACtually scratch that there's power going through the head unit, and it knows how to open and close the faceplate, however it's not turning on... :/
