body fat percentage does anyone know who in town does caliper testing? i just had a test today at my gym but it was on a scale and i refuse to believe it as accurate. i know that ubc offers the most accurate testing with the water thing but that's apparently tough to get to. |
i thought the Steve Nash gyms had some of those calipers, if u want a true test get the water thing done |
no they just had the scales. i don't see how a machine can calculate body fat so simply. is there anywhere else besides ubc that offers that kind of testing? i actually just called ubc and they don't have that water thing. sounds like that's reserved for the hardcore athletes and the science students. the guy also said that the calipers are actually less accurate than the scale. but the best time to take the scale measurement is right in the morning when you're dehydrated. water throws off the accuracy. maybe i'll just pick up a scale. |
Yeah when I use a scale I always check in the morning Posted via RS Mobile |
they are inaccurate. |
Scales are utterly useless You can get calipers which are made to self-read. I got one free with a bodybuilding.com order, they work pretty well I think, if you use them right. |
i just like to see were in at ball park figure |
