My exposures were too long. Managed to capture a couple of meteors but they were darkened by the length I had the shutter open.

Click on the images to see 'em better.

probably going to see it tomorrow or late tonight with my girlfriend if it dries up with the rain today

mcdonald park in abbotsford is a nice place for it, not too far, not busy, and once the park closes at around 10 or so, you can park outside the gate, walk back in and just lie down on the road and you have pretty much the whole sky to yourself. last year saw some super bright ones that go across the whole sky

Contemplating hitting up the lookout at Stave tomorrow night, if the weather clears...

Or a little closer to home, I've gone up to Pitt Lake for meteors before, it's pretty dark there.

I had originally planned on taking some timelapse shots of the meteor shower tonight (we've been seeing a shit ton over this past week up this way) but now a gigantic electrical storm is raging over the mountains surrounding us. So now we're standing on top of our field, underneath a house with a metal roof, taking photos of lightning strikes. If you never hear from me again, chances are you can figure out what happened.

Tried Burnaby Mountain. Stupid kids doing doughnuts in the parking lot almost hit me. I was ready to kill someone.

Saw 4 from 2 to 3 am at Cypress Bowl lookout. Bit cloudy, but it cleared up for an hour or so.

Honestly the worst spot. Honger chicks everywhere screaming every time they see one.

Hitting up Abbotsford or Sea to sky/squamish tonight.
