My favourite East Vancouver burger joint is and will always be Splitz Grill on Main Street.
Not quite downtown but in Kits, I love NIMBY Burgers. A pretty good rip-off of In'n'Out Burger.

vera's is YMMV. the one on davies is ok, though i still found it overpriced. never going back to the one on broadway near granville. their lamb burger tasted like cardboard.
don't usually eat burgers, but white spot's legendary burgers are good. my favorite burger is probably carl jr's guacamole bacon burger. unfortunately that's not in bc. |

I went to Splitz Grill again this week.
DELICIOUS! Order your patty medium rare and with the grilled onions.

Splitz if you MUST stick to van east.
If you can make the trek out to North Burnaby, hit up X-site.
You won't be disappointed, I never am.

I would suggest to try it out. The cost of the burger is reasonable but the additional sides like drinks/shakes and fries add up rather quickly.
One thing I found interesting though is they don't have onions on their burgers. But regardless, it's one of those places in which you either love or hate, much like In'n'Out Burger where some people instantly disliked it or liked it. In the end, taste is subjective but how one perceives it as good or bad is another thing.

I like my local Burger Heaven in New West...
Homestyle burgers FTW.

Man, this thread went waaaaay off tangent. I did not know that Burnaby was part of East Vancouver and Downtown.

You can order the Nimby Burgers buster style which is fried onions, this can be done for the fries as well.
Local burger's are delicious too, a bit pricey but its a big burger with towering fixings, My favorite is the Frenchman: red onion marmalade, tomato and blue cheese.

People have been highly recommending Costco's Angus Burger ... can't recommend it cuz I never tried it but for what it's worth ... apparently, location matters and the one people rave about is the Willingdon location.

Open until 2am, | I tried NIMBY for the first time today. The burger itself was good, but not In-N-Out good. They do certain things very similar to the In-N-Out, but I do miss Animal Style. I'll try buster style next time!

Also, no love for Red Robins? I love that place, just went there this week and had their Whiskey BBQ burger. It was delicious.

One of the best burgers I've had in awhile. It's so good I devoured it in no time. I think it's the sauce and fried onion strips that made it so good. |

Best burger at RR is the royal add onion straws mmm
But to be honest I've ate at a bunch of the big American chains, in-n-out etc as well as having a few different Kobe beef burgers and IMO the angry tendercrisp from BK is amongst my tops Posted via RS Mobile |
