I've caught 1 guy who stole my ex's car and another guy sitting in a car trying to steal. I wasn't gentle with either of them and all cops said thank you to me.

I actually caught up to the guy who stole my ex's car. Pulled him over, punched out the window, wrapped the seatbelt around the guys neck and choked him with it then dragged him out the window and held him till cops came. The cops said to him.... "Your lucky that's all he did to you buddy"

So I guess it depends on the cops attending the scene.

that just made my day

I caught a guy trying to hook up to my flat deck trailer, used my tire iron to smash out his window, hitting him in the face with it at the same time. When the cops got there they arrested him, and thanked me. The sergeant also hinted at me that next time I shouldn't call them so soon. Oh ya, and the guy wanted to make me pay the deductible for a new window on his truck, the cops told him that wouldn't be in his best interest.

As much as I love vigilante justice, I think if the cop is by the book or the thief has nothing to lose, he will press charge and you will get in shit.

Wasnt there an urban legend back a few years where a burglar broke into a house, steal stuff and on his way out, he slip and fell on the street. He sued the house owners or something...

how'd u catch up to him? did he have the car in motion?

I ran down 9 flights of stairs hopped in my own car, in my boxers, and pulled out and caught up with him. I heard him breaking the ignition and woke up and saw him start the car so I had an easy time catching him. Pulled behind him and he didn't know I was following him when we were coming up to a light I pulled in front of him and jammed on my brakes. Jumped out the car and screamed "Your a fucking dead man" He panicked and stalled the car as I did the terminator walk up the window. Door was locked and he was trying to start the car again so I punched out the window.

similar story here. I was at a restaurant patio with a couple buddys and one of them spotted a junkie in my car trying to get at my deck across the street. We all ran out and held the doors of my car shut. The windows were open so we were taking turns punching him in the head while he was stuck in the car.You can smell shit cuz he litteraly shit his pants .it was the funniest thing ever. The guy was shitting his pants and taking shots til the cops came. hes was pretty cracked-out so i eventually showed him mercy.We held up because i didnt want anymore shit or blood in my car. You should of seen the scared look in his face, it was gold.

It was my kinda fault because i forgot to lock my doors. cops were cool about it and didnt ask us why he was bleeding or anything

I've punched out a few windows... all I gotta say is... if your going to punch out a window make sure you actually break it. The only time it hurts is when it doesn't break. haha.
