custom exhaust twin turbo 350z

hey guys, i recently put on a 18g twin turbo kit and other supporting mods onto my 350z. Currently i have a Exotic speed exhaust with y-pipe and resonated testpipes.

How much of a gain would i approx get from custom 3" turbo back exhaust. More or less, i am trying to weigh out the cost vs performance aspect. I know previously with my eclipse i saw big time gains from this, any one have experience?

Also, i will have to get re-tuned for the better flow correct?

thanks for the time folks...

i have a JIC 3.5 in exhaust
single pipe to the left no resonators..

and i think u will see some gains with a larger exhaust.
and i read somewhere that too muhc backpressure is not good for a turbo car

Are you talking about doing a full 3" dual exhaust? The exotic speed exhaust is 76mm which is basically 3" already. How much boost are you running? If your running minimum boost (5-6psi) you won't really gain much going to a larger exhaust. A properly tuned stock 350z with the twin turbo greddy kit makes around 270rwhp on our dyno which will not reach the limits of your exhaust system. However if your engine is fully built and your running more boost, a true dual system would greatly improve your hp. Another one of our 350z's with the same turbo setup and our custom dual 3" exhaust, was able to max out the turbo's on our dyno and made 490rwhp at 18psi with meth injection. The exhaust was fabricated in house with polished stainless, X-Crossover pipe and 2 vibrant 3" mufflers with 4" tips. I think it was all done for around $1500. Here's a link to the car: http://www.racinggreed.com/index.php?section=project

Thanks for the reply, currently i am running just around 8psi (my limit on stock motor), i do have upgraded fuel pump/rail/injectors and that sort of stuff. Currently the internals are stock, but i do plan to build in the future. Although the exotic speed exhaust is 3" it is not a true dual or turbo back. Any recommendations? if the gains do not outweigh the cost i will not do it and i love the sound of my exhaust as it currently is.

greddy ti-c is a turbo back and sounds amazing. i have greddy tic on my 370z right now, installed at RG too. But that yellow 350z with custom exhaust by RG sounds MAD, it sound very very powerful, but i cant find the sound clip of that car anymore and the custom exhaust is a bit cheaper.

why don't you wait till ur motor is build and than decide if you want mroe power or not

you might want to talk to Travis over @ myspec-v.com he does alot of swaps, swapping 3.5L VQ35DE's into b15 generation sentras, he know alot about equal length headers and exhaust sizes with turbos to maximize power without losses in quality and sound.
