clubs here are boring....i rather hit a lounge....less idiots, and you can actually talk and mingle without fearing of getting shot.

I don't think its that common to actually get shot at clubs lol.

But I agree that Lounges are better to actually mingle. And some Lounges still have dance floors as well if that's a concern.

Regular clubbing here is pretty bunk unless you roll with like 10+ of your buddies. Stick to DJ shows @ Clubs ;)

but now im not into that scene really, lounges are good, but i dont know that many.

i like "fabric" on friday. lotsa asian hunnies....but caprice for saturday. mixed crowd

Fabric and Boss are good for FOBS.
Gossip is hurting these days except for events.

Caprice Venue and barcelona are consistently the best.

celebs on tuesdays, dunno about now but during summer it was crazy packed, sound system and music is awesome

Eh clubs are what you make out of it, if you get shot down it's not the end of the world. Just don't leave a club with "what ifs" then start flaming the club because you didn't have the balls. I've never been to a lounge, but I'm sure I would like it probably more than a club, but I probably would be drinking beer over shots, depending on the environment

Wow is Venue really that good? Plaza was awesome 5+ years ago, but then it got shitty. Unfortunate, as I really liked the huge space. Haven't heard news from Venue though. What's the crowd like?

There's a couple flip girls, I think more Asians. Lots of white girls though, probably the majority for venue. I like it because I've always gotten lucky with that club. In terms of getting numbers and grinding with chicks, but like I said it's what you make of your night and how ambitious you are. Space wise for venue it's pretty small I think? Maybe I'm thinking pop opera(bunk club imo). I haven't gone clubbing in ages, gossip is huge though but that's why it's never packed unless an event is going down. Smaller space, less room, more chances of getting a couple dances.

I assume that the OP is in his early 20s, so I guess clubs are still novelties.

But, for the rest of us who are tired of the scene and the loud music, I would recommend the Yaletown Brewery (the pub side, not the restaurant) on a Friday or Saturday night. I might not go out enough, but I can't think of a better place in the city where you can go, grab a drink, check out some talent (there's plenty of it - for both women and men), and actually talk to people in an unpretentious environment.

Word to the men - it helps if you're 6 feet or taller.

nothing wrong with basement, or even better, gorgomish!!! YEAHH!!! especially if you love electronic, those two places are the place to be.

i swear those are the only clubs where everyone can do whatever the fuck they want and not get judged ;)

the environment and people are so fucking chill. basement is ghetto, but the music is awesome.
