Where to buy snowboard gear?

I've been using a beginner board for about 2-3 seasons that was passed down from my brother, and im currently looking for something a little more advanced, now that i am going a little more often every year. Can anyone recommend me a place to go to either than the shops on 4th Ave in Vancouver? Is buying down in the states gonna save me quite a bit? if so where? farthest im willing to drive is probably seattle area. Thanks in advance!

i dont really have a price range, i just wanna get something just a little less than the top of the line ones. I want something i can settle on for the next few years. I think i may consider buying last years models, you seem to save quite a bit for buying older designs

There is no such thing as "top of the line" . Once you get past entry-level gear, boards begin to specialize. Depending on whether you jib, jump, charge, or just cruise you're going to want a different kind of board. Riding on powder vs ice is also a factor.

Craigslist has some good deals too. Even though its used, you can still get some quality gear for a good price.

Sports junkies, they buy surplus gear from retailers that have gone under, and they also do consignment stuff from people selling used stuff as well.

Trusnow.com

Wait in February for their 40-50% off deals for the 2011 gear. Last year, they had Burton Custom X's for $250 ( I noticed some RS postings right after for $500 ):haha::haha::haha:

Use the Fedex Premium shipping so you don't have to pay duties.
