Want to buy a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, please help!

Hey I was hoping some animal lovers on here can help me out.
I want to buy a Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy as a new addition to my family but I don't know where to start searching.
I've called 2 breeders already and left messages on their answering machines. I also sent an email out to one of them for good measure, but have recieved no reply.
Anyone else know where I may buy one? If someone could point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated!

I've emailed a few on buysell but have had no reply either, its very odd.
This is what the puppies look like

thanks

and an adult

Just got one from the States for $500 US + around $60 CDN in tax. Most/all of the ones you see advertised locally are fake. Better luck to go on ebay classified in Seattle region and you might come across listings from breedings. They do sell quickly thou.

Check the CKC or AKC websites..... Find a Corgi club (such as http://www.pembrokewelshcorgis.ca/ ).....go on there website and there should be a number of breeders on there??? such as http://www.pembrokewelshcorgis.ca/ge.../pwc-breeders/

Im sure there are many others as well.

Did you do any research on the breed at all? Or do you want one cause there cute? It looks to me like the second one....if you put in anytime at all you could have found these sites and many others. I searched for under 2 minutes......please read up on the breed and make sure you are a good fit for the dog.

More often than not, Buysell, Craigslist, and newspaper ads are backyard breeders. Reputable breeders are never usually seen advertising because they are responsible and have homes lined up for their pups even before they are born. If you want a genetically health-tested puppy with a good temperament from a reputable breeder who really cares, chances are, you are going to have to communicate with one for a while and then be put on a wait list assuming he/she approves you to purchase one of their pups. It is well worth the time and effort to get one from a good breeder.

it took me a while to find a breeder here. there used to be 1 or 2 breeders in victoria but they're hard to contact. i was lucky to find one after a few months of looking. my first corgi came from a breeder in fort st john, but she only bred two litters and that's it. when i was looking for my second corgi i used to go to petfinder and found lots of corgis needing rescue, most of them are in california, texas or ohio. i found a corgi pup in ohio but it's almost winter and i couldn't go there & i didn't have the heart to have the puppy sent over in the winter. then 2 months later i found my second one from craiglist, the breeder was based in lynden.

there's donna's corgi rescue in bc but i doubt she has any right now.

there's a corgi meetup group in bc, you can search for it. you might find that 1 corgi won't be enough . a lot of people in the group have at least 2 corgis.

Nope, as long as you have proof of shots (especially rabies), which the breeder should provide anyways, its quite straight forward. Don't really know about flying a dog in though.

+1 for petfinder.

Puppies in rescue need homes too!

My aunt had corgis and they're wonderful little dogs though they are a bit quirky and don't take their small size for granted. They need LOTS of excersise.
