Winter Storage - 2010/2011
 

The season is pretty much over. Who here is putting their bikes away for the rest of the year?

My insurance expires next week. Time to prep the Vespa for the winter. :(

i'll have mine insured for another 3 weeks.

Last year it was warm/dry enough to ride starting in Feb, hoping for the same this year. I do need to get gloves without vents, my heated grips can only do so much. ;)

Can I take insurance off for only a month or 2? ie if the forecast looks like rain all Dec and/or Jan?

My bike has been in storage since sept 14th.
I insure it around may.

Do you need to remove the battery from ur bike for winter storage?

I just use a battery tender.

I got my scooter sometime between xmas and the new year.
I just started riding around then... No heated gloves.

It's freaking COLD in January during the dead of night.
*shiver*
5 minutes and I couldn't feel my hands anymore.

Any good heated glove suggestions?

I have Oxford heated grips - at less than 1/2 on they are so toasty warm!

You're missing some great weather to be riding :p

I have about another month to go before the insurance runs out, but riding in summer gear in fall weather kinda sucks... :(

I had mine stored since Oct 1.

+14C and sunny for my ride after work today. :p

Took mine out to do some errands today and it was soooo nice, not too hot not too cold

Today was awesome weather! Should've gone for a ride. :(

Mines insured until halloween, but the battery just kicked the bucket enough that it cant crank the motor fresh off the charger :( (little battery, 400cc single cylinder)

stored mine yesterday! last ride of the season was awesome! will insure it again mid april. in time for nhl playoffs

I'll be riding until the roads start to freeze. Riding in the rain isn't so bad.... even in the morning, it's not too too cold.

my insurance is good until mid november, but im gonna cancel it next week.

I think that i'll be putting mine in storage next week, it doesn't look like there will be any good days to ride in November

Wait it out and let it expire. The cancellation and fees associated with cancelling insurance isn't worth it.

i mean, i already paid for the month until mid november.

my insurance doesn't expire until april 2011...im not waiting till then :rofl:
