240sx with a R25 or RB26?

so i'm getting a 240sx (wanting a 180) and im not a KA fan...so i was thinking of swapping a RB25 or RB26.

If i find a 180sx with a SR20 should i swap to a RB? or keep the SR

it depends on what you want to do, SR should be enough though

Have you done any research for swapping a 25 or 26 into a s13? Start there.
A RB26 will be alot harder swap than the RB25

We've done tons of both.

If budget allows I definitely recommend the RB25. If you plan on building up the engine the RB25 has more potential. RB26 would be the best choice IMO, but those engines cost alot more.

Maybe give us a call and ask for Phil or Akira. They can give you insight and maybe help you decide which route to go. Either way, any of the 3 engines is dramatic improvement over the KA.

Yup I'd go with the RB25 it's cheaper and easier to install then an RB26 and you can source it as a complete "kit" with the RB26 you'll be looking for individual parts to make a complete "kit".
Yes the RB is heavier then the SR. Weight balance bla bla bla but the added weight is exceedingly compensated for in power with the RB. With a nice set of coilovers with stiffer springs and dampers, getting rid of the shitty factory tension rods for adjustable spherical ones, bolting on some 300zx brakes, and relocating the battery to the back you will have corrected all handling concerns with the added weight and most of these mods you'll end up dong anyhow.
WIN WIN WIN.

if you have the space, put a VQ35DE in there, they haul a$$, can put a stock sentra with a VQ35, and a mild tune into the 11s without pushing a sweat
