cop wrote my name wrong
 

hi there, i got a ticket,
but the policeman wrote my name wrong,
you know chinese name consists of 2 words in first name,
he only wrote the first word of my chinese name,
my brother's name is same as me except the last word.
mr officer, who did you mean in this ticket

and he didnt make me sign at the bottom of the ticket,
and didnt put the year of my car,
make and model he wrote it very bad, almost cant read


and almost write my driver license number wrong , 5 looks like 3 or S ,,


i dont know who did he mean in this ticket,,,
i will win if i dispute ?

I'd you did something wrong pay the ticket. Don't waste other people's time cause you were at fault.

making you sign is irrelevant to the ticket, you don`t need to sign it

his poor writing will not get you out, neither will his description of the car (unless it`s wrong make or model)

If your name is what he wrote on the ticket, just not the entirety, you will still get the ticket.

If he wrote the correct DL#, with the correct first part of your name and the correct last name, then they can id you, unless your brother's DL# is identical to yours except his has a 3 instead of a 5 (as you said he wrote the 5 like a 3).

So, it's highly unlikely the judge will throw it out saying that you can't be identified.

And no, you should not dispute for the reasons you have listed. If did commit the offense then just pay the fine. If you pay within 30 days you get 25 dollars off. Think of that as winning a reduction dispute.
