Sashimi Grade Fish

Hi,

Could any members here point me in the direction to buy some sashimi grade fish? I'd preferably want the fish de-boned and cut in fillets as well.

I'm specifically looking for Kanpachi/Toro.

Thanks :)

Angel Seafoods retail: Kampachi is seasonal - you can get Hamachi, but you'll have to buy the whole fillet, which is not de-boned. Toro is sold in the vacuum packs, but it's not very good because it has been thawed somewhat. It tends to have a slight fishy smell as a result. To get the good toro, you'll need to buy the tuna quarters and cut the toro off yourself, but as they cut the whole frozen fish, you'll need to clean it.

You can buy smaller portions of Kanpachi/Hamachi & toro at Fujiya though.

If you are in richmond... you can also check out izumi-ya... it is basically the same type of store as fujiya.

Plus 1 for Angel Seafood =)
