because back then, people that wanted AWD didnt want the power, and the ones that wanted power could care less about the AWD. now with the C300 4matic/335x drive doing so well, they figured they need to get their hands into the power/awd market.

"back then" as in 5 years ago? My friend wanted the 350 in AWD, but ended up getting 250 because 350 didnt have awd

Um, ya. What he said. ^

I wanted AWD, but wish I had the power of 350. Wondered why there was no IS350awd. Like jpark said, they now need manual. This is great news and definitely a step in the right direction.

Lexus won't do a 6spd model. I think because its not necessary. Why do R&D, production, marketing and all that jazz for a market that is so small. MOST people buying these cars are looking for a luxury/sporty family sedan.

If you want a 6sp, you buy a REAL sports car. Like a Vigorous ZX.
