Has she got daddy issues or something? She sounds real insecure but really as stated above your wording was off and caused this particular indecent. Maybe she's just just been coddled all her life and thinks any less is "walking out" on her if so time to grow up and quit bein a princess.
You tried to make amends for your miss worded comment and explained what you meant correct? So then explain to her ignoring you is a blatant display of disrespect and no relationship can survive without respect.

my opinion

when i say "what are you to me?" its usually to make a point to the people who don't play any specific role in my life, and that think they're important enough to get in on my business. if she meant something to you and you said that, you fucked up.
