HID installation help

Well my brother bought HID's for his 7thgen civic cause stocks just aren't bright enough.

Was wondering if anyone was willing to help him install them cause me and him tried and it was a pita. Driver side light is hard to take out cause of PS resovoir aand washer fluid tank is like inches away from the clip. So anyone willing to help pretty please

you have to remove those, they slide off giving you a bit more room to work with.. then you need to zip-strap the ballasts.

you can pull the ps resevoir up off the thing easily and put it away for some needed sapce.

and the washer fluid neck should be twist removable too.

Its not much more difficult to install HIDs than it is to change a burnt out bulb.

Move the PS pump reservoir, remove the existing bulb, replace it with an HID bulb, hook up connectors, zap strap the wires and mount the ballasts. Double sided tape is a good method for the mounting ballasts and many people mount them on the inside of their bumper on 7thgens.

We did move over the PS Pump reservoir and the washer fluid is just like right beside the clip to remove the bulb. It's a damn tight fit in there can barely fit my hand nor my brothers. Is there a DIY guide or could someone help us in their free time or something?

And no 7th gen isn't the latest gen its the 2001-2005 models

Look in the owners manual, dude. It has instructions on how to remove the bulbs.

I would come help you, but I need to get an essay finished tonight. Seriously, the pas side should be easy and on the drivers side the PS pump just lifts out.

Are you pushing down on the release tab, because its sorta clipped on..

7th gen civics do look absolutely terrible with HIDs, just big glowing headlights spraying light everywhere. I'm waiting till I can afford this kit to make the change, http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=227.

So you have no problem blinding other drivers at night, so long as what..you look cool? Or you have "brighter" headlights?

You must have no grasp on the concept of shame. You and your brother are tools.

Twist the bulb and take it out of the socket first, then you'll have a lot more room to work with.
