Would you say Virtual DJ is a good program to learn the basics of mixing? I'm not entirely sure if I want to shell out money for equipment for now. Not until I get the basics down and stuff like that.

my buddy uses virtual dj at work(works at g spot) and he sometimes even mix's live...
There is 2 good options guys, Virtual DJ or Traktor.. Traktor is way more advanced the VDJ but harder to use with just keyboard and mouse.
I've been using Traktor and I do agree it is a lot harder to use with a keyboard and mouse. Do you have any suggestions when using Traktor with regards to basic equipment needs?
Alright guys, time to go the DVS road but cant quite decide between Traktor Scratch Pro2 or Serato SL2. Traktor has definitely redefined their software and hardware but still remains problematic in some areas.
As for Serato its simple to use, doesnt crash and really rock solid. A friend had a gig last night and all 4 DJ's were using Serato so just go to show its quite the industry standard in North America.
I dunno both seem great but Traktor seems to offer alot more for a cheaper price. Plus if i were to get TSP2 id pair it up with the Kontrol X1 so definitely alot of potential.
Anyone have personal expirience with TSP2 that can chime in? Thx guys
