Well seeing a table prior to the show might have helped I'm sure 
Actually after episode 2, everything is fine. They just introduced way too many characters in a short time.

They just introduced way too many characters in a short time. | I felt the same way after the first episode but the main characters are so rich and different that you easily remember after the second or third episode. That chart helps too, especially learning backstory if you don't know it.
I might be convinced to a read a book for the first time in years.
