civic si with massive body dmg, worth fixing?

Long time lurker, first time poster: figured, if anyone can help it's the folks at RS. Found this car which had been in a pretty bad accident. Massive body damage to driver side door and passenger side. Axles are gone on passenger side for sure maybe not driver side. Suspension on passenger side is done. Wheels obviously are shot. Glass shattered on driver side door, both air bags deployed, windshield shattered. It seems that the passenger side is the one that took the most damage.
Engine, miraculously intact with 48k on the odometer. Radiator cracked so needs to be replaced, and windshield wiper fluid thingy is gone, but other than that it seems to be in order. No body damage to the back areas of the car it seems. Worth fixing? If so how much in repairs, do you think? Seems most of the panels can just be reattached, but the major costs lie in the suspension repairs, and the airbags. Thanks in advance.

Pics there, for some reason rev scene did not convert the URL properly.

Ouch. I'd personally say no. Simply looking at the airbag replacement aspect of it you're in for a sticker shock...

If it's going to be around 6gs, I might do it. Mind you, that's before replacing the air bags. Maybe just keep it sitting in the garage until I can come up with the ridiculous amount of money to replace those air bags. How much do you think it might be for the body/suspension work? Thanks guys.

I'm sorry, I don't know the year, but it is an EP3. Is it siR ? Sorry, not too familiar with civics.

I'm going to be brutally honest... That car is now garbage and only good for parts.

The placement of the damage is in area's that are extremely hard to work on and getting proper straight lines out of those areas is going to take a shitload of money. You could buy another SiR with the cost it will be to repair that.

Berz out.

Let's think about it this way....

You could NOT fix it (saving 5-8 grand) and part out the rest.. probably be able to get at least 5k from that parting it out. Motor plus interior and other stuff. So with the money your saving plus the money from the part out you will be way ahead to buy a new one.

Berz out.

even if you do get this car fixed up to pre-accident condition, it won't drive the same anymore and furthermore, if u get into another accident like this again, i think your next ride is in the back of a hearse

Its not his car I think he wants to buy it and rebuild it but obviously thats a bad decision, especially since there is no sentimental value and it definitely wont be the same as new when repaired...leave it be

Ding ding ding.

My guess is someone is selling this car for $2000 or less and if he spends $6000 to repair it, then he will have a EP3 civic for $8000 or less.

Currently, CL has an 04 EP3 civic with 62K asking for $12,900 and I bet this guy thinks this 03 with 48K km's can fetch that much $$$ if he buys it and rebuilds it to resell.
