Considering such a retrofit is illegal, you'll have a hard time finding a reputable shop to do the job.

^ very true. I personally do not know of any shops that does it however there's a million of them in the states that does. also there's many people that does a little diy, I got tsx in my accord, morimoto mini h1 in my G20. Wasn't hard to do just time and patience. Read it up on hid planet, buy a spare set of lights and slowly work on it.

^Just make sure to save your stock lights, so when you get the VI, you can put them back in.

Is it really that enforced though?
I mean hid's w/ no projectors blinding everyone on the road, yes that deserves a vi (which I dont even know how many of those people get one). But do people straight up get VI's for retrofitting? Just curious what your guys experiences are.

I got all stock parts thanks. I've talked to some police officers and their view is if it doesn't blind them they're okay with it. While others could care less as it's a "small infraction"

I'm sure that some people with hid in reflectors has gotten vi's but now adays with so many on the road. The police has other stuff to deal with, I'm not saying it's legal and I'm not saying that everyone should do it, cause you can retro in some nice projectors and still have the cut-off all wrong.

The fact remains, it IS illegal, and if you get VI'd for whatever reason, you WILL have to put the entire stock lighting back in if you want to pass.

What HID's did you buy, because TSX HIDs are widely considered the best available with the possible exception of S2K HIDs.

Are they the complete TSX headlights?

Ya lol i replaced the kit is what i meant, its a DC2 Integra that already has projectors, i'd still like to custom fit the TSX ones in, but i thought it would have been so much easier to do the retrofit.

Yes, you mentioned that earlier in the thread, but custom fitting the TSX ones isn't a job that can be done by a shop. If you could find a shop to custom fit them for you it would cost a small fortune, because the process is very labour intensive.

Have you been on HIDplanet.com before? if you go there you could see what retrofitting involves and if it's something you'd be capable of tackling yourself.

Sorry to be a dick but, why don't you just buy a car that comes with factory HID's. It's just too much trouble retrofitting HID's and it's also illegal. If I were you, I wouldn't bother. I'd rather save up for a car that comes with factory HID's.

1) financially its way more difficult to go out and buy a new ryde
2) simply because people love their cars

I don't think its really all that difficult its just more time consuming. The time it will take you to retrofit is ~ a few hours and a bit of effort. The time it will take to save up and buy a new car could take years depending on your job/financial situation. I'm choosing retrofit
