Psht, don't goto eharmony.com, costs money for things you can get for free. Try out local clubs like the Mirage if you're near the Guildford area. Or perhaps even visiting your neighbor for once a couple of times, get to know them.

I'd say hit up some local gyms or places that offer classes for extreme things like free running or various forms of martial arts. Or sport leagues, those are always a lot of fun.

Bookstores.

My last like dozen dates I met in bookstores.

For orgs, is there a cause or something you feel particularly strongly about? I always find volunteering (especially for men since there tends to be more women who volunteer) is a great way to meet like minded individuals.

no flaming intended, but i don't understand how someone can have a limited selection of friends, and not know how to expand their circle or find other circles.

ok fine, if you're really introverted, maybe, but then introverts generally don't care for many friends anyway.

the easiest way i find is call up old friends that you're still on good terms with, but you havent seen in a while. even cousins that are similar age. start with people closest with you and branch out through their friendship trees.

facebook makes everything so fuckin easy, a simple msg or whatever, makes it so casual and relaxed.

if you have brothers similar age, i know for some people it's weird, but i mean, if u get on good terms with them friendshipwise and drop the "big brother/little brother" role (and at 30 years old that should be gone anyway right?) they make pretty good friends lol, they practically grew up with you right?

co workers? unless they're all way older than you.

lol, friends and acquaintances are one of the most powerful tools a human can have. even if you feel no need for them (this is for you ultra introverts), at least maintain a few, the older you get, the harder it is to break into new circles and all that mumbo jumbo. you always need a way out of solitude or you'll go mad.
