Class 5 license card Question

Hey RS

Q for those of you that have recently obtained (or just have the new style) Class 5 license.

Does your license card itself have a DUPL on the back of the card by the hologram?

I passed my Class 5 test last week, but they only charged me $17 after I had passed the road test. I previously thought that when you passed the Class 5 exam you would have to pay $50 or $75 to get the license.

I'm worried because I don't wanna be pulled over for whatever reason, and get into trouble because there is something "wrong" with my license card in the form of having a duplicate license.

I read on ICBC that if you took and passed the Class 5 exam within 6 months of your Class 7N license expiring, its only $17, however I forgot when my Class 7N was going to expire.

So just wondering if any of you guys are in the same situation I am in.

Mine has dupl on it.. I think the reason is because if your license was renewed withing 6mo-1yr from the date of your new license you only have to pay $17.. I remember my license was going to expire before my test, so I had to renew it $75 ( I think) then when it came to my exam date I only had to pay $17 becuase it was just renewed. Plus if they charged me $75 twice in 6monthes I woulda been pissed..

My wife's says Dupl on hers as well, but that was cause she got a replacement one for the one that was lost when her wallet was stolen.

it says duplicate because your N is valid for 5 years. When you get a class 5, your DL# is still the same and it says duplicate, as you might have another copy of your 7N somewhere.
