titanium canine teeth in police dogs

so my bro just told me he received an email about police dogs, and that many of them have titanium canine teeth now
Spoiler!

not necessarily to improve a k-9's bites/grips, but because of health reasons and is only used on dogs that need dental works

Like with any dog, teeth can be damaged. The amount of costs going into training Police Service Dogs, I'm sure a little dental work is worth it.

Besides, I really doubt you would know the difference if you got bit by a dog that had regular teeth, titanium teeth or ceramic crown moldings...

its more so for the actual dog's dental health than biting stronger/better

but it really does make an angry looking dog look a lot meaner

lol the difference is that Canada is using it not to improve bite/grip unlike what that article says, and plus its the US...the US always gets things ahead of us.

Well its now been confirmed that its being used in Canada. By the way, even though the news is "10 years ago" i'm pretty sure not everyone knows about it.

the dogs' teeth get capped for health reasons (aka they need dental works: fractured teeth, chipped teeth, loose teeth, or whatever kind of disease, etc.) ...like Acuracura says, teeth get damaged

also, titanium/stainless steel is used because it lasts longer than porcelain...and no one said it IMPROVES their health.

look at dem grillz.

Like the old article said costs less -"$600 per tooth - than it would to obtain and train a replacement animal, which could cost more than $10,000"
