As of now i have the bose ie2 earphones, they have pretty good bass and sound quality, but after a while they start irritating your ears.
Which headphones do you guys use, and what would you rate it

i got the bose ie2 earphones as well and i use them to work out cuz they tend to stay in my ears while i exercise + run. 8.5/10

I also use Beats studios at home since i usually listen to music for hours and they are very comfortable. Sound quality is perfect. 9/10

audio technica ath-a900

etymotic mc5.

The technicas I've had for ... 4 years now? Best headphones I've owned to date. Etymotics were a xmas gift from a family member :) (Obviously had a wish list, no one I know would get me them otherwise lol). Both excellent.

You can check out "Headphone Bar" on broadway if you want to try out various headphones as you normally don't really get the chance to do so when you buy from other stores.

It's like a small shop across from Mountain Co-op

Got some monster turbine coppers for christmas, they're pretty good I rate them a solid 9/10, very good sound for just about any type of music, isolation is so-so but biggest drawback is no control talk

My commuter headphones are the etymotic mc3 (moving coil with mic and volume controls) They have very good isolation and perfect for the bus, very good for podcasts and sound is very clear, bass is weak though and the mic needs to be very close to work well, still a solid 7.5/10 you can get them at the apple store

I also have a pair of klipsch image s4's I don't use anymore, very comfortable and were my favourite before, solid value and clear music but next to the etymotics they're not so great, then again they are some of the highest rated earphones by cnet. I give them a 8/10 if you get the s4i's

both the etymotic and the klipsch you can get at the apple store.

Some reason I also got the monster studio beats, very uncomfortable and the noise cancelling is pretty pathetic, sound quality is alright,
6/10 for those

+1000. Design and celebrity marketing hype.

Music4TheGame 03-07-2011 05:44 PM

since i'm such a music audiophile i use the shure se530's quite expensive but worth the money

LookHere_Sucka 03-07-2011 06:37 PM

iBeats, decent sound quality and noise isolation with good fitting tips. Using bass reduced on my iPod at the moment cause the bass is too loud, but other than that it's pretty nice.

I had the tours but they sounded terrible, and the noise isolation was garbage.

I want to get the S4i's but I'm not sure where I can get them other than the apple store. If they offer an extended warranty at the apple store, I'll probably get them.

^ headphone bar sells Klipsch. They are on Broadway near MEC. http://headphonebar.com/?p=1
