Arm Curl Blaster

It's this thing that's supposed to isolate your biceps when you're working out, so only those muscles are working and to make sure you're not cheating when lifting weights..

Anyone else have this arm curl blaster, heard some reviews but is it actually useful, and is it the same thing as lifting weights by putting your arms against a wall to make sure you don't cheat?

Haven't heard of it, but just as a quick tidbit of advice:
hardwork > gadgets and gizmos

why would you even want to isolate your biceps?

the more muscles your working the better

AlphaKappa 03-23-2011 02:27 PM

no, it's to prevent cheating while working out for the most part.. that way your muscles grow faster

I'll come back to fail you later Jufes as I'm all out for the day.

Yes I like those arm curl isolators. They work awesome. It's like doing a preacher curl but you do it standing up. You really really feel it if you use it properly. Arnold used to use it a lot. If you don't have one however you can simply do Incline Curls and it will have the same effect more or less.

Berz out.

most gangsta bicep workouts come from pullups and then hit the rowing machine

Google it and have never seen it in any gyms I've been to before. Looks pretty cool actually. If you want to isolate your biceps, preachers are my favourite.

some ppl fall for anything lol

SkinnyPupp 03-23-2011 07:01 PM

Last thing you want to do is be isolating the biceps, which are meant to be used in conjunction with other muscles such as the forearms and upper back.

Read this and stop falling for bullshit products and goofy workout regimes.

AlphaKappa 03-23-2011 07:47 PM

hmm lol, i think you saved me from spending 60 bucks.

SkinnyPupp 03-23-2011 07:49 PM

You're welcome!

hal0g0dv2 03-24-2011 07:54 AM

RRxtar 03-24-2011 08:33 AM

they have one at my gym. the only guys that use it are the guys that also wear a belt when they do tricep extensions and wrist curles in the squat rack.

yellowpower 03-24-2011 02:20 PM

could u substitute the 15 ft rope climb for a pole climb? sort of the same thing right

SkinnyPupp 03-24-2011 02:49 PM

As the site says, do neutral grip pull ups if you don't have a rope.
