Good Cheap Taiwanese Restaurants I like places like Well Tea and Pearl Castle, but they don't have good service ;/ Anyone know any other taiwanese food places? the two places mentioned above, i like their fried rice and chicken nuggets |
Not sure of the name but the place beside richmond sushi is so good Posted via RS Mobile |

There ought to be at least a million "Taiwanese place" / "bbt place" in Lower Mainland... |

Accord Food House Not open Monday.
Sunflower Cafe in Burnaby on Royal Oak & Rumble St Popular with Burnaby South school kids. Still my favourite for Taiwanese Beef Noodles - Taiwan Beef Noodle King There's plenty other more, but I've never blogged..check my Taiwanese category. Chowtimes actually covers a lot of Taiwanese restaurants, as does FoodforBuddha, as they are also Taiwanese like me. :) |
Lao Shan dong for beef noodle....kingsway & nelson (same building as best buy) new age chinese cuisine (on kingsway...next to Lordco) kalvin's restaurant...victoria dr and 30 something ave go try some amazing wan lan pork hoc at corner 23 (cambie & 23rd) ...it's probably what you are looking for as it's bbt cafe-styled and cheap food = poor to meh service...i don't go to asian restaurants expecting good service anyways |
me and my bud always go to twinkle 2 it is in the same complex as zodiac karaoke prices average at $8 for an entree and a pearl bbt, its never busy unless at around af 9pm deal cant be beat |
Theres Zephyr in the sky along alderbridge where e-spot is. That place i found was okay. |
Bubble world in the same mall as Richmond Sushi is. If you know where Melody Fine Tea is - It's right next to there |
lao shan dong gets my vote for taiwanese beef noodle. i've only been once but for overall taiwanese food not at a bbt place, i thought corner 23 was pretty good. |
Give Corner 23 a try, you might like it. Located on Cambie and 23rd. |
imo, lao shan dong has gone down hill since the last time i've went. the broth and everything did not have that "umph" to it lol. maybe it was just that time, but its put me and my family from going there after that time. try wang's beef noddle house on granville  |
I used to go Sunshine at Crystal Mall... haven't been there for years, don't know if they are still in business. |
tri-tea cafe on no.3 and ackroyd(?) i love their stuff =] |
You mean Tri-Ty Cafe right? I think their drinks are the most fairly priced. Oh yes, how could I forget. |

Just go one street across to Oak & 64th for Taiwan Beef Noodle King, he's the guy that's opened up Tony's and Wang's and then sold them. guess you could call him the OG of Taiwan Beef Noodle in Vancouver.. and it wont be over $10. |
Yeah I like the one on Oak and went to his older store Tony's, but I'm close enough to Aberdeen that I can walk there...plus I like the broth at Hung's better. I haven't been to Wang's in 2.5 years...I'm done with that place. |
I really hate the beef used at Lao Shan Dong. So damn leaan! :( |
