what "honda" is it? don't bother flushing it until you get the leak fixed. P/S fluid can't be burned up like engine oil. If its down, it leaks

look harder, there has got to be a leak somewhere. PS steering fluid doesn't just disappear. As for the noise, top it off, lift both front wheels off the ground and bleed the air out of the system. If the noise stops then search for leaks.

grinding sounds could be an indication of bad bearings in the pump

probably in the steering rack, fluid leaks out the rack end seals, but the dust boots hold in the fluid so the fluid doesn't hit the ground. If you're going to crawl under the car poke the boots with a small pick and see if any fluid leaks out of them.
Make sure the fluid you're using is Honda's stuff or at least honda compatable. Bleed the system by turning the wheels all the way left and right a few times. shouldn't need to lift the front wheels off the ground to do this

No need to wait. When you get home from work tomorrow (car warm), just crack the PS reservoir open a bit so air can escape, crank the steering wheel (steady speed), lock to lock, 3 or 4 times, check the fluid level and it should be fully bled.

Should take all of 5 minutes.

update. so my mechanic who diagnosed power steering issue was an idiot. as i mentioned. thr was no leak so doesnt make sense the fluid will be low. Turns out, it wsn't low, it was between minimum and maximum line (in the winter- its around minimum line) and he filled it up almost to the cap.

this machanic specialises in acura/honda engines. used a stetisscope also but still diagnosed it wrong. im glad i got a second openion before doing anything drastic.

i took it to another place. and turns out its my water pump. they used stethoscope and i heard the nose for myself. Noise was not coming from power steering unit.

At least you know what it is. Unfortunately, since it's a waterpump, you're going to want to address it asap.

Water pump seizes, timing belt snaps = bent valves and maybe a cracked piston.
