Sure Blast

http://www.sureblast.ca/index.html

Went there this morning to try it out, needed to blast a bicycle frame and wanted to blast my rims. Super nice people, very friendly and helpful.

After spending a while blasting my wheels I gave up, some of the paint is just too hard to blast, it needs to be burned.

Found out they have a special, $300 to burn, blast and powder coat wheels. Turn around under a week. I'll update this thread next week when the wheels are done, getting semi-gloss black.

Yes. They asked what size my rims were (19), so I think the price may be even cheaper for smaller rims.

Their special has been posted here before, yet is not on the website anymore. http://www.revscene.net/forums/paint....html?t=594495

No they do not. I had been DIY repairing my curbed rims, and sanded out most of the curbage. Still some left, yet since I'm going black I figure it'll hide whatever I couldn't sand out. I was going to blast them myself then find somewhere to have them painted - yet for this price I decided to let them take care of it.

No offense man, but is it just me, or does that look kind of cheap and tacky?

Hmm I might have to agree with culverin, it could be the picture. Im not saying it looks tacky but sort of looks like a toy wheel. I'm sure it's better in person.

The colour was the poster's choice though. I would say it's not indicative of the company's workmanship unless you guys are commenting on the quality of the surface prep and/or finish.

I don't that wheel combined with the color choice would be a good representation for their work lol. The wheel itself looks cheap and the color just enhances its cheapness.

I hope Macdonald's paying you for that color combination.

Picked up the wheels yesterday. I'd give them a 8/10, maybe 9/10 cause of the price.

There's a few flaws, yet since they are black they are very hard to get a photo of. I wish I had spent another hour prepping the wheels first, there's a few places on the edge of the lip that could've been sanded smooth for a better finish - yet the power coat does hide a lot of the damage I didn't fix.

2 day technically. Dropped off Weds morning, ready by Fri afternoon, I just wasn't available to grab them till sat.

Got the centre caps painted! Now still need to find those damn fake bolts, or a bolt similar enough. CTF Supply sells all kins of hardware, Hopefully they can find something close and I'll just glue them in.

Got the tires mounted this weekend. Decided to black everything out, dipping the fake wheel bolts, and the lug bolts in PlastiDip. I was able to crank the lugs on without even disturbing the PlastiDip, awesome stuff!

Not sure if I love the look, yet for < $500 total my wheels at least look decent again.

maybe OP is into halfies. but thats his bid.
id suggest if youre going to have foose style paint, at least get some stance on those wheels. lower the fronts, and space out the rears.
