Which providers? Telus or Shaw?

I just got an offer today from telus to switch over. $65 for 2 services for 6 months.

I'm paying over $100 with Shaw for the same service.

Any insights?

Isn't there those 6 months promotions where it's extremely cheap . Plus there is no contract . Some people do 6 months with shaw (promotion) and then a different company for 6 months paying a cheap fee and getting the best bang for your buck .

You could always ask for a free trial, i know shaw allows a free trial for a month for u to try their different internet services, maye it works with telus too.
However in my opinion, but it may not be true, i think shaw is a little more reliable than Telus. I found that Shaw gave interesting comparison about speed and customer support. Shaw looks user-friendlier than Telus... But not saying its perfect either.

As for Telus from what i hear from my friends and family:
Telus offers a great deal at $16.95/month for the first six months. Their support is satisfactory, and the ADSL performance is fast.
Cheap for first 6 months but their customer support and wait time for installation is long. Downtime is more than with Shaw. I find it faster than Shaw
Shaw charges a ~$20 relocation fee when you move. Telus has a +$100 new install fee when you move. Nice huh?

interesting facts. I've a lot of negatives and positives for both Telus and Shaw.

Wonder if Novus is better?

i wouldn't go with telus. If you live in DT Vancouver, then I would go with Novus. If not, then I would always use Telus' promos as leverage to make my bills cheaper with shaw

Yeah true. I don't think there are choices to be made around here lol
