park using pay by phone question

say i have 2 cars. and i am setup with pay by phone system . if i call in and pay for the spot for car lic plate xxy. but i was driving car w/ lic plate yyz that day. will i get a ticket.

in other words pay by phone , are you paying for the spot (regardless of lic plate number) or for a specific lic. plate on perticular spot.

reason i ask is because when i call to pay, it automatically recg. my tell number/ and they have my plate/visa on file.

you can set it up for multiple plates on the website,

there is an option to purchase it for another car

You have to make sure the plate matches. That's how they determine if the spot has been paid for by you. The city likes this cause if you paid for two hours but end up parking for 1 hour only, the next person who parks doesn't know that and will have to pay again even though the spot still has an hour remaining on the 'meter'. Whenever I call, it will tell me that they have a certain license plate on file and if you aren't paying to park that car, then press a button to switch cars. I believe it defaults to the last car that you paid parking for if you have more than one car on file.

i want to find out.

when i pay by phone, does the meter say 00? OR when they punch in the numbers, their system will check with the database?

they are nice enough to give you a chance if you use the wrong license plate. Ive done this in a hurry , considering i had 8 plates saved at the time on the system, lol.

good luck with IMPARk though, f*cktards! treat 'customers' like criminals for the smallest mistake, like backing in your car in a spot (apparently you cant do that in some lots, retarded!)

Yes, it will say 00:00 but they will check their system on their little PDA/printer thing.
