Thanks!

Yeah we got lowered seats, lowered bars, pegs and some other little things. My buddy and I didn't do any performance mods we are thinking of doing the "gy6" swap later on.

$6 to fill it up on 94octane, 180ish km to a tank. $50/mo for full insurance incl theft etc.

Super cheap

I could be mistaken, but I think 94 octane on your ruckus is kind of pointless. I'm running a 12:1 compression on my SR50, and it only ever needs 87.

Also, who did your powder coat? Looks so sexy. How was the quality? Holding up well?

It is pointless, but for 6 bux I don't really care. I never powdercoated. Rattle can green with some left over clear that had some red flake.

On a 4T, it doesn't matter. On a 2T, you better be running 94.

LOL
That video is sweet.

Please don't fail me for this, but does a ruckus need a motorcycle license?

They look cool, I wouldn't mind owning one in the future.

49cc scooters with automatic transmissions require a Class 5.

Oh? I think my manual recommends 93 or better. But pretty much everybody on the forums has been getting weird results from high octane. Seems to handle better on low. Also, one of the guys was a field engineer or something. Did a lot of fuel testing, says the same thing.

I heard the Ruckus is some sort of block engine? Can't have a BBK drop in kit?

Wouldn't it be class 6 or 8? I don't think it would fall under 5, I could be wrong. Then again if you're already class 5 you could just take the knowledge test, pass and boom class 6L.

I actually only have an N and I ride a 50cc scooter.
In some ways, getting the 8L is worse for me. With it, I can't ride after dark.

I saw a guy riding a customized Ruckus in Richmond last week. The frame was custom painted a tangerine orange, had custom rims and a single sided swingarm.
Looked pretty nice as everything was done tastefully.

Hmmm, maybe a Ruckus would better fit my needs of fun and transportation during high school. Not feelin like dropping 10G's+ on a sportbike.

Does RS approve of scooters and ruckus's?

You probably won't be overtaking cars on the way up but you'll get there no problem. I used to ride a Yamaha BWS (50cc, 2-stroke) up to sfu burnaby everyday. A parking pass was only $35ish for the semester. Cheap gas, cheap parking, cheap maintenence. Scooters are great for commuting in the city.

Pocket bike? Hehe, I had a 80cc 2 Stroke pitbike that i used to ride around the block, then i got pulled over by the police and got a verbal warning. Sold it after that.

And naww, imma responsible HSer when it comes to my own protection.
