are you mailed another copy of tickets you are issued? or just w.e the officer hands you.

You are served a "true copy" of your VT..the blue copy, the yellow copy is retained by Police and the white front original goes into the MVB/Court system. It's up to you to keep your copy. MVB can provide you with a photocopy of your copy. Not sure if there is a cost because you lost yours.
