Decent Pubs to Host a Fundraiser?

I am planning on hosting a pub fundraiser for about 40-60 people, and was wondering if anyone have any pubs around the Vancouver or Burnaby area that they would recommend.

Any bars that would actually have a closed off/private section for the group would be preferable. I know that Ceili's Irish Pub has a top floor that can be used to host fundraisers (free depending on amount of people), does anyone know of any others?

does it have to be a pub? it could be a restaurant? most have a bar there and since its a fundraiser it shouldn't be too rowdy.

the elephant pub on knight would be great but im not too sure if they would fit 60 people

My friends have routinely used Marine Pub to host their dragonboat fundraisers. I've been there, it's not particularly "nice", but it's not a dive bar either.

I just guessing that the financial side of things must work out for them to go back for multiple events.

Like somebody had mentioned, the Elephant Walk Pub is a great venue. I've had a fundraiser there for about 115 people. They don't close off a big area but everybody can move around. I believe they charge $8 for burger, fries and a beer. Anything on top is your profit. You might have to be a bit lucky for availability as they may reject you if there are big events during the day you want. I got lucky even though there was a Canucks game and UFC on at the same time. They also supply you with the tickets which is great.

Marine Pub is pretty good too and I think they charge a bit less. It's a bit more open for seating but it's in the middle of nowhere.
