I worked on producing a network show last season and from my information, that is absolutely untrue. Production on this show has been plagued by issues, from costs, post, scheduling and location issues, which is why season 1 is only 13 episodes. If your friend is repeating that to you, it could be that the show runners told him they would like a 2nd season and have worked out a plan for season 2, but I can tell you the studio has not ordered a 2nd season, let alone 22 episodes.

Terra Nova has received some great feedback from critics, but ratings figures will have to be reviewed, advertiser interest and another concern for the studio regarding Terra Nova is that with the complexity of the production, at the current pace of 13 episodes a season, your not going to reach the syndication minimum episodes, which is were a studio can really make its money.

Naw my buddy didn't tell me, I just read it on the official fan site. You could be very right. My buddy is coming back to Van soon so I'll ask him and I'll let people know.

Crazy how much they are promoting it though, Landon was on Degrassi which is popular among teenage girls, but this show is gonna be huge, at first at least.

So we're in the midst of new series. Don't have time to give any real reviews so I'll just give a quick thought update:

Person of Interest: 9/10
Pretty decent acting and I like the plot of the series. I can see this series going for a few seasons.

Playboy Club: 6/10
Too bad this wasn't on a channel like HBO lol. It's alright and I can see it being picked up for maybe another season due to the T&A factor, but I don't think it'll last.

2 Broke Girls: 5/10
Ehhh... Most of my female friends like it, but the pilot didn't draw me in. I like Kat Dennings, but not enough to get into it.

Ringer: 7/10
Nice to see Sarah Geller in a drama. Good acting, decent plot (so far). We'll see how it goes, though.

Revenge: 8/10
Went into this show expecting to dislike it, but I strangely do. Normally this type of show isn't my type of thing, but I'm enjoying it so far. I expect to see this series picked up for at least a couple more seasons.

New Girl: 6/10
Meh. I'll give this series a chance 'cause I can see the potential, but the pilot didn't really do it for me.

The only other show I'm planning on checking out is Terra Nova (who isn't?).

Ooooh, Alcatraz. Forgot about that series. I think I remember reading it's going to be a mid-season replacement?

yeap should be coming early next year

as long as jj abrams doesn't try to make it too lost/fringe like and has consistent writing, then this can turn into a pretty good show

So a few weeks into the new fall tv season, the clear ratings winner so far is CBS and Whitney Cummings, she's drawing 5 paycheques right now acting/writing/producing(creator) on Whitney and producing(creator)/writing on 2 Broke Girls. Whitney and 2 Broke Girls are also the first 2 new fall shows to receive a full season order.

Playboy Club has already been cancelled and it's looking like Charlie's Angel, Free Agents and How to Be a Gentleman will be canned shortly too. 2 other anticipated shows Terra Nova and Person of Interest have had lack luster ratings so far.

Tell your buddy I wanted to punch him in the face after watching the first 2 episodes. His character is such an idiot
