Online Trading Academy

popped in to an introductions workshop.
sounds interesting, to take a class to learn about trading instead of learning it by myself online.

but.....friggin expensive. 5000 if i had signed up the day of. 7000 regular price.

have anyone else checked it out or considered it?

the upside is students can take the class as many times as needed without extra fees.

i was a bit turned off by it all though, because the speaker seemed impatient and somewhat of an ass.

Sounds like a complete waste of money. What exactly do they teach you? how to open an account and conduct a trade? what type of strategies do they teach you?

yeah i went to an info workshop a while back, well i'm not going to say it is all bad, but it is expensive for what you are learning but it is proper hands-on learning cuz they actually allow you to use real money to make trades real-time in the class and give you support if you choose to become a trader as a real job

The only real way of becoming good at trading is learning by doing with real capital , losing money, and repeating the cycle... but knowing TA wouldn't hurt I suppose :P

I TA. More than anything else lol. One thing I hated, was when I took the CSC prep course, the instructor basically frowned upon the whole subject of TA. That pissed me off. I guess if you want to become an IA, most of your clients are going to be long term and hence would rather focus more of FA but still. At least don't pass thru the subject like it's some absurd idea that's never been proven.

Think you asked a question that was a little out of his scope.

If I was teaching science 9 and you asked about quantum mechanics I would tell you to fuck off too

i think its mostly TA and practice.

they let you play with their company's money, but decisions have to be approved i think.
which is a pretty smart way of working their investments. having students do the filtering for them, and execution..while they take the profits.

yes i can.... i trade options.. and its a straight bear or call buy to open position

no butterflys or condor, wings, spread.. blah blah blah

these markets intraday behave a certain way.... looking for 00 and 30 min mark to make moves

i've been down up down up and down ... now up

i hope i stay that way of course.. nothing guaranteed,, but im talking about 80000$ swings here

place close attention to currency to forecast short term and intraday movements..

^^ many times i was like this

open an online acct that allows u to paper trade (fake money)
but dont fall their spam shit

learn the jargon online ( google )
or best buy a book at chapters
buying the book with ur own money will force u to read the thing lol

after knowing the terms and trading actions
develop ur own way if trading

tech analysis
swing trading

most IMPORTANT THING
leave emotions out!!!!!!!!

u can be wrong half the time and be successful
if u limit u losses!!!
