Man, I thought VPD was ready for something like this. Don't you always hear about how the 1994 incident taught them all these lessons, yet it happened again.
Win or lose, this was going to happen.
94 was an away game, this year is a home game, they should have knew it would be worse.
VPD should have got more officers
Plywood the windows of more stores
close liquor stores early
have more security in the stores overnight to prevent looting
remove newsboxes from streets
stop inviting so many ppl downtown to have a viewing party
good job to all the vancouverites that are helping clean the city and to identify those that did all the damage!!!
That's great to hear. I expected Vancouverites to do this. Good thing the Garbage workers are not on strike, or else they will start harassing regular citizens for doing their work for them (Summer 2007).
its not. i'm not his friend or anything. but if you watch that vancouver riots video, its definately not him, guy is way too big and different looking than thechengman.
they contacted me once early am when i linked the video to them
and now they're contacting me again to see if i can direct them to the video shooter or the guy who was defending the city/car
if you want you could pass the CBC guys info to him

i'd like to personally thank him through email or facebook or something. that guy deserves recognition for standing up against hundreds and risking his ass to stop the rioters

kudos to him.
Sadly, he's also in this video that chun posted earlier in this thread, pushing over a van. Maybe it was the mob mentality.
