As for the Polo player I believe that he is upset and very sorry and the tears were real. Why? Because he realizes now what could be or will be taken away from him ( the polo team ) from his actions. He looked pretty calm attempting to light the tank, then throw lit paper in the car and when confronted runs away like a girl them comes back and lights the tank a second time. Feel sorry for him? No I dont.
Like they say, hindsight is 20/20. He should have realized the consequences before committing arson/attempted arson.
The damage control they are doing now doesn't make me feel sorry for him either. Without his family or his lawyer telling him what to do I doubt he would have apologized like that. Nicely written apology statement but all he's doing is reading some lines. Would have been more believable if he spoke without any script.
Yeah, its easy look in hindsight what you should have done, or what smarter decisions you should have made. With most of the idiots there, including that polo player guy, he should have left and not be involved. Posted via RS Mobile
This is the full statement, not the 3 minute one where Nathan is crying already. At the start he doesn't even seem sorry. Just mechanically reading lines given to him by his lawyer. He only starts crying when he gets to the consequences part.
He couldn't even answer properly when asked if the only reason he came forward was because he got caught on camera.
Just realized I know that Nathan kid's dad through work.....
The news said his dad had to close his office today because of constant phone calls. If the police doesn't rip Nathan a new one, his dad will. As a public figure (a surgeon/doctor), his name is tarnished forever.

Doubt it would last long, being there is a shortage of doctors in BC. If you were in need to critical surgery, would you decline being operated by this surgeon because of what his son did?

Icic. I know him through my work, not his work. Posted via RS Mobile
